How to install the upper hanging window

In home decoration, upper-hung windows and lower-hung windows are generally installed. Among them, the top-hung window is a new form evolved on the basis of the side-hung window. In use, the top-hung window can be opened either side-hung or pushed upward, making it more flexible. So, how to install and disassemble the upper-hung window? Today, I will introduce the installation and disassembly steps of the upper-hung window for your reference.

Installation method of top-hung window

1. Confirm the angle that the customer wants to open, generally the maximum is 90 degrees. Sliding supports are used to bear weight, and wind supports are used to limit angles. All the load-bearing on the externally-opening top-hung window sashes are on sliding braces. The angle of the wind bracing can be fixed when it is opened, but if it cannot be opened to a certain extent, it must not be pushed hard. It will cause the wind brace to twist and change, and the window sash will not close.

2. The size of the sliding piece of the wind brace should be the same as the size of the notch of the window frame. The length, width, and thickness of the sliding piece must be figured out in advance and matched with the window. Put the sliding piece in the slot first and fix it with screws.

3. When installing, the sliding piece on one side of the wind brace is fixed on the window frame, and a support rod is connected to the window sash. Debug and install the position between the window frame and the window sash in advance, and then go to the site for construction.

4. Make sure that the size of the window frame is consistent with the size of the opening. The normal size of the window frame will be about 1 cm smaller than the opening. Easy to install. The connecting part of the window frame and the opening is fixed with long screws. After the whole installation is completed, sealant is used to make a circle around the window frame.

5. Adjust the verticality and horizontality of the frame to ensure that the position of the window frames is consistent horizontally, and the verticality is vertical. After installation, you need to switch the window back and forth several times by hand, and observe whether the hardware on the window and the sliding support and the connecting rod are smoothly pushed and pulled. If there is any looseness and unsmoothness, make timely adjustments.

Precautions for installation of top-hung windows

1. Check the actual size of the opening with doors and windows and drawings before installation

2. Separate and stack the door and window openings

3. Determine the installation position of the window frame in the thickness direction and horizontal direction of the opening wall

4. Adjust the verticality and horizontality of the frame

5. The up and down and horizontal positions between the window frames are moderate, the level is consistent, and the up and down are vertical.

6. After installation, seal the inside and outside of the frame

7. The installation hardware must ensure that all kinds of hardware and accessories are complete, and there must be no lack or looseness.

How to remove the top-hung window

1. First, you need to cut the sealant inside the window with a blade, and then take the window frame.

2. If the window is connected to the wall with expansion bolts, you can directly remove the expansion bolts with a screwdriver.

3. If the expansion bolt is rusty, it can be broken with an impact drill; if it is connected by a connecting piece, the impact drill can be used directly.

4. If the window frame is difficult to remove, you need to use a hacksaw to cut and remove the frame against the wall.

5. When demolishing, it is necessary to avoid using a sledgehammer to demolish to prevent damage to the wall structure. If the original building wall is damaged, it needs to be repaired, which will greatly increase the construction cost.
